Builders Circle commit to give at annual leadership levels ranging from $2,000 to $500,000 either personally or through their business. Businesses are invited to participate as corporate partners. All gifts by Builders Circle members will be channeled through the Love Builds Hope Campaign to fund the priorities of the Diocese of Brownsville and its parishes, schools and agencies. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the Builders Circle?

The Builders Circle is a network of business leaders and professionals who support the work of the Diocese of Brownsville’s Love Builds Hope Foundation with leadership gifts, key connectivity, and strategic input. Their contributions help in a unique way to further build the Kingdom of God’s love in the Rio Grande Valley by animating existing ministries and new pastoral work.

Why has the Builders Circle been started?

There are two main reasons. The Builders Circle are members of the community who are driven to impact the work of the local Church and positioned to support it financially. Their leadership level gifts provide critical funding and inspiration to others who will give to the Love Builds Hope campaign and other development initiatives.

The second reason is to create a space for business leaders and professionals to share their significant wisdom and experience at the service of the Church’s mission. Builders Circle members are demonstrated leaders that know how to creatively solve problems and get things done. They know the Valley intimately and are networked with people who can help make good things happen. Together, they represent a tremendous breadth and diversity of talents and capacity to serve the mission of the Church.

What is the immediate focus of the Builders Circle?

The immediate focus of the Builders Circle is to help the Diocese and its parishes, schools, ministries and agencies to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic through the RGV COVID Crisis Response Fund. A $3 million goal has been set to raise critically needed funds that will help the Diocese recover and sustain as many ministries as possible, despite a devastating loss in revenue related to severe COVID restrictions. In addition, parishes, schools and Catholic Charities of the RGV are directly ministering to people, helping them recover and get back on their feet.

What is the long-term focus of the Builders Circle?

The long-term focus of the Builders Circle is the full $24 million Love Builds Hope campaign. This bold initiative will build new parishes and expanded ministries in the Diocese of Brownsville to advance its mission to take Christ to people and people to Christ – with a special heart for the poor and marginalized. Future initiatives such as the Diocesan Annual Appeal and legacy giving initiatives will also sustain and expand God’s work in the Valley.

How will the Builders Circle function?

The Builders Circle will meet several times per year in a summit to build their connectivity and provide input to the bishops and key ministry leaders of the Diocese of Brownsville. There will also be regular communications via a newsletter and opportunities for personal connectivity from time to time.

What is a Corporate Partner?

Builder Circle members can elect to give personally or through their business. Either way, these gifts allow the business to be identified as a Corporate Partner. This presents an opportunity to thank and recognize the business and professional leaders who give generously through the Love Builds Hope Foundation. Company names will be featured on the Love Builds Hope website and related communications.
